CNB: a big name in the world of luxury yachts
CNB, founded in 1987, is a subsidiary company of the Bénéteau group, who are world leaders in the field of pleasure-yacht builders, and are quoted on the parallel market at Paris stock-exchange. CNB has its headquarters not far from Bordeaux’s largest vineyard, on a 24,000 m2 site, 12,000 m2 of which is under cover, on the banks of the Garonne. The company has quays 300 metres long by the river, which is sufficiently deep to launch boats and run initial trials. Since its founding, CNB which has earned an international reputation for the high quality of its large luxury craft, and has launched over fifty yachts with lengths ranging from 20 to 36 metres, and which sail the seven seas of the world.
CNB’s super-yachts
Among the prestige craft built by CNB are some names that have become synonymous in the world of pleasure craft with elegance; for example Hamilton II, Grand Bleu Vintage, Only Now and Mari Cha II. In 2009 three large new yachts, called Chrisco (30 metres), Spiip (26 metres) and Swallows and Amazons (23 metres), glided down the slipway and were handed over to their owners. The CNB shipyard has repeatedly been honoured at the highest international level for the quality of their products: Design Award by the Superyacht Society in 2002, Grand Prix de l’Elégance at Voiles de Saint Tropez in 2003, and Design Award by the Superyacht Society again in 2005.
